Home Poker Ledger is a calculator that runs entirely in your browser. It has no accounts, no server, and no database. The numbers you type are never sent anywhere. This page explains that in detail, and is honest about the two third parties that are involved despite it.
The short version
- Everything you enter — player names, buy-ins, cash-outs, your currency and theme — is stored only in your own browser, and only so the page still has your game when you come back to it.
- None of it is transmitted to us or to anyone else. There is nowhere for it to go: this site is static files with no backend.
- Two third parties do see that a visit happened, and your IP address along with it: our host and our advertising provider. They are named below.
- You can erase everything this site has stored by pressing Clear all in the app, or by clearing site data in your browser.
What is stored on your device
The app writes a single entry to your browser's localStorage under the
key poker.ledger.v1. It contains exactly this:

This never leaves your device. It is not synced, not backed up by us, and not readable by us. A game entered on your phone will not appear on your laptop — that is a direct consequence of this design, not an oversight.
Player names are the one field where you could enter someone else's personal information. You do not have to use real names, and nothing in the app requires them. Initials or nicknames work exactly as well.
Third parties that see your visit
We do not send them anything about your game. They see the request for the page itself, which necessarily includes your IP address.
GitHub Pages — hosting
The site is served by GitHub Pages, operated by GitHub, Inc. (a Microsoft subsidiary) in the United States. GitHub receives your IP address and standard request information in order to deliver the page, and keeps its own server logs. We have no access to those logs and cannot query them. Typefaces — served by us
The three typefaces this site uses are served from this site itself. They used to be loaded from Google Fonts, which meant Google received your IP address on every visit. That request no longer happens and Google Fonts is no longer involved in any way.
Google AdSense — advertising
This site is supported by advertising supplied by Google AdSense, operated by Google LLC in the United States. If you are not seeing any ads on this site yet, the account is still pending approval and nothing described in this section is happening.
Where ads are shown, Google and its partners use cookies and similar device identifiers to serve and measure them, and may use them to personalise ads based on your prior visits to this and other sites. Google's use of advertising cookies is described in How Google uses information from sites that use its services.
You can control this directly:
- Turn off personalised advertising at Google My Ad Center.
- Opt out of third-party vendor cookies at aboutads.info.
- Block or delete cookies for this site in your browser settings. The calculator keeps working with every cookie blocked — it does not use cookies at all.
- Where we are required to ask for your consent before non-essential cookies are set, we ask before anything is loaded, and you can change your answer at any time from the link in the footer.
What we do not do
- No analytics. There is no Google Analytics, no Plausible, no Fathom, no page-view counter of any kind.
- No accounts, no email collection, no newsletter, no contact form.
- No error or crash reporting service.
- No selling or sharing of personal information. We have none to sell.
- No AI or machine-learning processing of anything you enter.
Transfers outside your country
Both third parties above are United States companies and process the request data described in the United States. If you are in Korea, this is a cross-border transfer of personal information; the recipients, their purposes, the data involved, and the retention position are set out in the sections above and in the Korean version of this policy.
Children
This site is not directed at children. It is a tool for settling accounts after a home card game, and it is not intended for, and not knowingly used to collect any information from, anyone under 14 in Korea or under 13 in the United States. Because the site collects nothing, there is nothing for us to delete; if you believe a child has entered personal information into their own browser on this site, pressing Clear all removes it.
How deletion actually works
There is no separate archive, no "deleted items" store, and no staging area that data passes through on its way out. It is held in exactly one place — your browser — so your deleting it is the deletion process. No approval from us is involved, and none is possible.
Two ways to do it, both immediate and both irreversible:
- Press Clear all in the app.
- Clear this site's data in your browser settings.
Either wipes the localStorage entry. Nothing is recoverable
afterwards, by you or by us, because no copy exists anywhere else. Nothing is ever
printed to paper.
What we never collect
We collect none of the categories Korean law treats as sensitive information — beliefs, political opinion, union or party membership, health, sex life, genetic or biometric data, criminal record, race or ethnicity — and none of the unique identifiers either: resident registration numbers, passport, driving licence, or foreign registration numbers. We also do not carry out pseudonymised-data processing.
Your rights
Because the site holds no personal information about you on any server, most rights are exercised directly and instantly: pressing Clear all in the app, or clearing site data in your browser, deletes everything this site has ever stored about you. There is no copy anywhere else.
You still have the rights given to you by the law that applies to you — in Korea, the rights to access, correct, delete, and suspend processing of your personal information under Articles 35 to 37 of the Personal Information Protection Act; in the United States, the rights your state grants you. To exercise any of them, or to ask anything about this policy, write to the contact below.
A parent or legal guardian of a child under 14 may exercise those same rights on the child's behalf. You may also act through an authorised representative. We act on any request without delay and never charge for it.

Article 30 of Korea's Personal Information Protection Act requires this policy to publish either the Privacy Officer's name or the name of the function that handles privacy enquiries, together with contact details. This site is operated by one individual, who is designated as Privacy Officer under Article 31 and remains personally responsible for it; what is published here is the function, and the address below reaches that person directly and is read.
If you are in Korea and are not satisfied with our response, you can also contact the Personal Information Dispute Mediation Committee (privacy.go.kr, 118), the Korea Internet & Security Agency's Privacy Portal, or the Personal Information Protection Commission.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that affects you — a new third party, a new category of data — the date at the top changes and the change is described here.
